Wal-Mart has agreed to distribute Wherify Wireless Inc.'s new Wherifone GPS Locator Phone and related GPRS service packages at select locations throughout the U.S. and on www.walmart.com, beginning in the second quarter of 2005.

The device features a 911 emergency button, incoming and outgoing calling via a two-way speakerphone, and five programmable buttons for one-touch dialing of key contacts. Partnering. Redwood Shores, California-based Wherify Wireless has entered into a definitive merger agreement with IQ Biometrix Inc. of Fremont, California. Wherify also has teamed with MedicAlert, a nonprofit organization delivering 24-hour emergency response services to give Wherify clients family notification, medical dosage, and secure online medical information storage services.
