Cloud Cap Technology, Inc. was established in 1999 for the purpose of providing software and hardware solutions for the Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) market. Our efforts focus on developers of small unmanned aerial vehicles. We see great potential in providing this new breed of UAV developer with powerful integrated solutions that dramatically reduce the time required to implement an unmanned aircraft system. We introduced our first product, the Piccolo autopilot system, in the summer of 2001. We are now expanding into the larger inertial sensor market with the introduction of the Crista IMU and Crista Sensor Head.
Major Products
* Crista IMU is very small 3-axis IMU that uses the latest MEMS parts. Crista is calibrated and temperature compensated over a -40 to 80C temp range, and provides 16-bit resolution over [ or -]10g acceleration and [ or -]300[infinity]/s rate measurements. Calibrated output is available on either RS232 or CAN bus. Crista is also available as an OEM sensor head for integration into customer designs. The sensor head is a component of our next generation Piccolo product, the PiccoloPlus.

* Piccolo is a complete integrated avionics system including the core autopilot, flight sensors, navigation, wireless communication, payload interfaces, hardware in the loop simulation support, and operating software tools. Despite its small size (4.8" X 2.4" X 1.5"; 7.5oz) Piccolo has all the components needed to fly a small aircraft autonomously. To date Piccolo has been successfully flown on at least 30 different airframes ranging in size from as small as 3 lbs to as large as 1,464 lbs.
