United Kingdom-based GPS simulator manufacturer Spirent Communications won the Queen's Award for Enterprise: International Trade in recognition of its role in the advancement of GPS and related navigation and positioning technology.

Spirent also plays an key role in the development and rollout of new location-based services, with testing via its Location Test Systems for GPS-enabled mobile phone handsets.

The Queen's Awards for Enterprise are conferred for UK business performance presented in three categories: International Trade, Innovation, and Sustainable Development..
