Dual-frequency antenna

GPS World, August, 2003

NovAtel's GPS-700 antenna is a rugged, self-contained GPS antenna featuring the company's Pinwheel aperture coupled slot array technology. Operating at L1 and L2 frequencies, the antenna receiving elements are coupled to filters and a low-noise amplifier with typical 27 dB LNA gain. Pattern roll-off from boresight to antenna horizon (0 elevation angle) is 11-13 dB. Designed for precision position applications, its phase center in the x and y axes is located in the center of the antenna for both channels, making it suitable for long baseline measurements. It measures 170 millimeters in diameter and weighs 480 grams. NovAtel, Calgary, Alberta, Canada.
