San Jose Navigation introduces its FV-21 multifinctional GPS engine board incorporating an L1 GPS receiver with C/A code and 16 channels. FV-21 supports carrier phase, A-GPS and WAAS, and delivers an update rate of up to 4 Hz. The device's modular design and open architecture allow it to be integrated with a broad spectrum of OEM system applications. Offering a stated position accuracy of 2.6 meters or better, FV-21 has a hot start of less than 2 seconds, a warm start of 35 seconds and a cold start of 41 seconds. Weighing 3 grams and measuring 25.4 X 25.4 X 3 millimeters, FV-21 offers external passive or active antenna options, with power consumption at 3V rated at 76 mA in tracking mode and 8 mA in sleep mode.
