The Best of Ten

Gin lovers will treasure this recipe from bartender Debbie Quinney of the Daisy Flour Mill Rochester NY.

   1 1/2 oz. Tanqueray Ten
   1 1/2 oz. Mango Fruja
   1/2 oz. Rose's Lime Juice
   splash of grenadine

   Combine all ingredients in a
   shaker filled with ice. Shake, strain
   and serve in a Martini glass.

Lemon Meringue Pie Martini.

From Diane Morgan, Bartender at The Tropicana Hotel's Savanna Steak House, Las Vegas, comes this after-dinner treat, which is said to separate into layers just like the pie.

   1 1/2 oz. Kutel One Citron
   1 oz. Villa Massa Lemoncello
   1 1/2 oz. half & half
   lemon wedge
   1 tsp. sugar

   Place the lemon wedge on rim of
   a 6 oz. Martini glass and dip into
   a plate of graham cracker crumbs
   mixed with 1 tsp. of super fine
   sugar. Put above ingredients in
   cocktail shaker and mix. Strain
   into glass and garnish with long
   peels of lemon zest.

Italian 'Luna'

This Mediterranean-inspired recipes comes from Ken Lusar of Ristorante Mama Ginas. Newport Beach, CA.

   1 oz. amaretto
   1/4 oz. Grand Marnier
   2 1/4 oz. fresh squeezed
   orange juice

   Shake ingredients and pour into a
   chilled Martini glass. Garnish with
   fresh orange zest.

Cognac Ritz Cocktail

An elegant pairing to all foods Latino.

   1 oz. Cognac
   1 1/2 oz. orange juice
   1 1/2 oz. lemon juice
   chilled Champagne
   1 lemon peel

   Shake Cognac, orange juice and
   lemon juice. Strain into a Martni
   glass. Top off with Champagne.
   Garnish with a lemon peel.

Electric Ice

From Kevin Christensen, head bartender at The Graciela Burbank Hotel, L.A.,CA, comes this colorful cocktail.

   1 1/2 oz. Ketel One Citron
   1/2 oz. Hpnotiq
   1 1/2 oz. Blue Island Pucker
   1 1/4 oz. blue curacao

   Mix all ingredients together in a
   shaker cup filled with ice. Shake,
   strain into a Martini glass, and
   garnish with a lemon twist and
   a drop of grenadine.

Torani Peach Samurai Saketini

Wash down a roll of sushi or teriyaki noodles with this peachy keen cocktail.

   1 tbsp. and 1 tsp. of Torani
   peach syrup
   1/2 cup of chilled dry sake
   juice of lime wedge

   Place ingredients in a cocktail
   shaker half filled with ice,
   shake well and strain into a
   Martini glass.

Melonade

Try this lemonade with a twist from Marie Brizard.

   2 parts Marie Brizard
   watermelon liqueur
   1 part premium vodka
   3 pints fi'esh lemonade
   lemon wheel

   Combine all ingredients in a
   large tumbler with ice. Garnish
   with a lemon wheel.

Red Hot Shot

New York bartender Maria Tiu says this fiery shot tastes like Red Hot candy.

   1 part Remy Red
   1 part Goldschlager
