Cheers, Nov, 2000
ft's where the 2001 Cheers Beverage Conference is pitching its tent next year on April 18-19. There's so much to talk about and so many people who want to have their say that we've expanded the conference and added an extra half day. The conference has the added attraction of being the first major restaurant/beverage event at the brand new Aladdin Hotel. We're still rounding up speakers and designing sessions, but we are pleased to be able to announce next year's keynoter: Michael Kaufman, Metromedia Restaurant Group President.

As those who attended know, previous conferences have sold Out, and the response is expected to be just as strong for 2001's conference, which provides a unique opportunity for beverage executives and restaurateurs to participate in a high-level forum with some outstanding operators. Panelists in the past have included beverage execs from Rock Bottom, Chili's, Olive Garden, TGI Friday's, Cheesecake Factory, Host Marriott Services, Maggiano's Little Italy, Las Vegas' Bellagio and Rio Suite Hotels, among others.
The supplier industry response has been phenomenal: such companies as Scottish & Newcastle, Stimson Lane, Heineken, Sazerac, Libbey Glass, Cardinal Glass, Coco Lopez and Island Oasis have already signed up, and we expect many, many more. We're also extending the entry deadline for the 2001 Cheers Awards for Beverage Excellence until November 30, so get them in fast.
