Winter Boat Shows

New this year, BoatU.S. and electronics installation experts Navtronics have partnered to sell VHF radios, radars, GPS receivers, fishfinders and more from the BoatU.S. booth at the New York and Miami boat shows. You can check out the latest electronics, get expert advice from Navtronics representatives on hundreds of items as well as order equipment and arrange for installation at the show. At the shows listed below, members can also renew their membership, upgrade towing and register to win a handheld Garmin 76 handheld GPS.

Two Major Women's Events

Two events to make boating better for women -- novices to experts -- are being sponsored by BoatU.S. in 2002: the Women's Sailing Convention set for Feb. 2 in Corona del Mar, CA, and the Women's Sailing Conference in Marblehead, MA. on June 8.

Both are all-day events with on-the-water and shore-based seminars targeted for the beginner and intermediate female sailor, racer and cruiser. Highly qualified women instructors will lead the sessions.

The West Coast event is held at Bahia Corinthian Yacht Club. Pre-paid registrations are required as space is limited to 300.
