Women Head to the BVIs - Tangled Line

Boat/US Magazine, Jan, 2002

Why is it that warm tropical breezes, turquoise waters and palm trees seem to make sailing lessons so much easier? Probably because it's so relaxed. To test this theory, the National Women's Sailing Association is holding a week-long women-only learning cruise in the British Virgin Islands April 13-20.

The all-inclusive package trip will provide meals, two nights at a resort in Tortola and a private berth on a Moorings 40-foot sailboat for six days of cruising these pristine waters. Each boat will have four women, including either a professional instructor or experienced female captain and sail the islands as a flotilla.

For more information on this and other special women's boating programs, go to BoatUS.com/women and click on "Training" or call NWSA at 800-566-6972.
