Friends don't let friends go boating without a BoatU.S. membership. That's what our membership department found out when it surveyed some of the thousands of BoatU.S. members who suggested friends for Association membership last year and won a prize for each who signed up.

Not surprisingly, we found that a prize wasn't really the reason people recruited other people for membership. Instead, our members wanted their boating friends to get the help and support that comes from BoatU.S. membership, through our services, BOAT/US. Magazine, Foundation, and lobbying efforts.

We won't stop rewarding you for bringing your friends to BoatUS., though. In fact, now, for every member you sponsor, you can choose between a certificate for a $5 discount on your next renewal bill or a weekend boating bag.
