Project boat on tour - At Your Service Membership

Boat/US Magazine, March, 2002

Boat repair experts are transforming U Can 2!, an ugly ducking fiberglass powerboat into a sleek swan and boaters on Florida's Gulf Coast can learn valuable do-it-yourself lessons from this "work in progress." Hands-on seminars at the BoatU.S. Marine Centers in Clearwater and Port Charlotte will demonstrate the techniques of repair and maintenance using the boat, a 15-year-old, 24-foot inboard-outboard cruiser badly in need of a "makeover." How-to sessions at both locations will feature general maintenance, fiberglass and gelcoat repair, bottom and topside painting, hardware installation and engine maintenance using the boat.

U Can 2! will be at the Clearwater, FL, Marine Center March 15-23 and at the Port Charlotte, FL, Marine Center March 24-April 13. Experts from DIY (Do-It-Yourself) Boat Owner magazine will be on hand in Clearwater March 23 and in Port Charlotte March 24, from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m., both days. U Can 2! will make the rounds of other BoatU.S. Marine Centers in Florida later in the season. Watch BoatUS.com for dates and locations.
