Articles Win Awards

Boat/US Magazine, May, 2001

An article in the January 2000 issue of BOAT/U.S. Magazine landed a Second Place Award in the Boating Writers International annual writing contest. Written by Associate Editor Ryck Lydecker, "Let Flipper Find His Own Fish" warned of problems that feeding dolphins create for both animal and boater.

Managing Editor Elaine Dickinson won a Gold Triangle Award for 2000 from the American Academy of Dermatology. Her article appeared in the July 2000 issue, "The Dark Side of the Sun," about the damaging effects of sunlight on the skin and the danger of skin cancer.
