* The Association of Train Operating Companies (Atoc) has awarded a [pound]24 million contract to Sema Group, to supply pocket personal computers for on-board train staff, enabling them to gain access to the national rail timetable and fares database via Windows-based software, Each PC will weigh about 225g. Several thousand should be ready for use in spring 2001.
