Docklands Light Railway has awarded a 7.7 million [pounds sterling] contract to Mowlem to upgrade DLR's Beckton depot

> Docklands Light Railway (DLR) has awarded a 7.7 million [pounds sterling] contract to Mowlem to upgrade DLR's Beckton depot. The project includes new sidings and track connections. The extended depot will be able to accommodate up to 36 new vehicles, 24 of which are on order. The 24 cars are part of a 100 million [pounds sterling] project to add a third car to DLR trains to increase network capacity.
