> The Canadian unit of Alcatel Transport Automation Solutions (TAS) has won a Euros 19 million contract to provide SelTrac technology with automatic train protection for driver-operated trains for a new speed enforcement system on the Toronto metro. It will replace the current grade timing method and will go into service in three phases, starting with the Sheppard Line in 2003 with completion scheduled for 2005.
