A Japanese banking syndicate led by the Japan Bank for International Cooperation is providing a loan of $US 259 million to finance Line 4 of the Metro. The line will connect the seven existing railway and metro lines as well as bus routes to improve what is described as the "segmented and inefficient public transport network".
