Just wanted to take a second to say thanks for your fascinating article on gunpowder. ("Gunpowder: An Insider's View" GUNS Aug., '01) The facts, figures and history you presented on this subject were a real treat. We take that stuff for granted -- it's easy to forget what a miracle it really is. I'd love to see more in-depth, informative articles like this in the future.
