The sun never sets - Crossfire: letters to guns

Guns Magazine, Oct, 2003 by John F. Sukey

Would like to see Uberti make a short lever Martini-Henry rifle and carbine chambered in .45-70. The caliber would be the same but the cartridges would be a lot cheaper. Given the current price of the originals, it should be a saleable item. They were the guns that won the empire. It would certainly be less costly to make than the Trapdoor Springfield copies, and there are more than enough re-enactors and other folks who would like to own one. I am a bit tired of all the Italian Winchester and SAA clones. Time for something different.
