All-Polymer Sling Swivel - Brief Article

Guns Magazine, Nov, 1999 by Holt Bodinson

I call it my "turkey swivel." Butler Creek recently designed and released a detachable, locking sling swivel that will not rattle, rust or sang on your camouflage. They're calling it a swivel for the 21st Century, and considering that it's made entirely of various polymers. I suppose they have a point Everything's coming up plastic.

In this case polymers are better. The Butler Creek swivel is virtually noiseless in use -- a fact well appreciated by any turkey or deer hunter. Nor will it rust in the duck blind. Nor will it scratch your gunstock.

Teamed with Butler Creek's new "Comfort Stretch" sling, the combination represents a perfect answer to a series of old problems associated with squeaky metal swivels and stiff leather slings.
