Handgun harvesting: hunting with a handgun requires patience, skill and ability. None of which John has … just kidding!

Guns Magazine, Nov, 2004 by John Taffin

The type of handgun chosen is not nearly as important as attitude, practice, and an honest assessment of one's ability. Any animal taken with a handgun, especially an iron-sighted sixgun, is a trophy. As I type this, a mountain lion is perched on a log above my desk. He was taken in deep snow with an iron-sighted .44 Magnum and provided one of my most memorable hunting experiences.

The animals we hunt deserve our respect and they also deserve to be dispatched quickly and cleanly. Handgun hunting is not a stunt and we must keep it from being one. Use enough gun, stay within the pre-imposed range limitations, place the bullet precisely, and enjoy handgun hunting. Great, grand and glorious adventures await you.
