Cz 52

Guns Magazine, Jan, 2005 by Llon. Sharp

I just finished reading the article by Holt Bodinson on the CZ 52 in the November issue and found it to be very informative, except that there was no mention of the accuracy testing done by the factory at the time of manufacture.

The most accurate of these are given a very small punch mark on the sighting rib between the chamber area and the front sight. The next more accurate was given two punch marks, and the third most accurate was given three. The least accurate, but still acceptable for military service was given four. These marks are very small indeed, about the size of a period at the end of a sentence.

I completely agree with the assessment of this beast. My major complaint, also, is the lousy grip angle. It certainly does not make for natural pointing.

The trigger is a little heavy and creepy, but smooth, not at all gritty. Maybe the early models were made a little better than the later ones.

All in all, though, it was an informative and well-written article.
