The new Model 17 HMR Sportster from H&R 1871 is a break-open, single-shot rifle chambered for Hornady's .17 caliber rimfire cartridge. It delivers the 17-grain V-MAX jacketed boat tail bullet with a muzzle velocity of 2,500 fps. Features include a 22-inch heavy varmint barrel, high-density black polymer stock and forend and scope mount. Safety features include the patented Transfer Bar System and trigger-locking device.
