Guns Magazine, March, 2005
Q: I read your article on the CZ52 and it sounded like a good buy and an interesting firearm. I fired it recently and after the third shot the ejector disappeared. The first two rounds were ejected properly but the third stayed in the clutches of the extractor. Has this been a problem and where can I get another? Ammunition was current S&B ball.

A: Any surplus, reconditioned military firearm may have a part that fails from time to time. The CZ 52s had a good reputation for reliability, but it's 50 odd years old now and it fires a pretty hot round. I might expect a part to fail now and then. Gun Parts Corp. offers a parts diagram and parts for the CZ 52 at (845) 679-4867, www.gunpartscorp.com; and Century Int. Arms, (561) 998-1997, www.centurvarms.com has some surplus parts as well as a few brand new parts.
