I agree with Clint Smith's views as expressed in his February '04 GUNS "Ranging Shots" column. There should be no doubt in anyone's mind that a rifle is far better than a handgun in a fire fight. That piece of wisdom should be shouted from the mountain top.

Further, Clint's idea that a hit with a 4-inch Model 66 is better than movie-like "spray-and-pray" with a P-35 is so true that too often it is under-played. Great work Clint. Like your column and your ideas.
