Needed saying

Guns Magazine, May, 2008 by Chris Orfe

Duke's article, "Guns I'll Never Shoot Again!" is phenomenally honest. I guess that's why he's one of my favorite gun magazine authors. I, too, have a tender right elbow. I had mine repaired 9-years ago and still can't handle heavy loads. I shoot a lot of reduced .38 Specials, .22LRs, and the occasional 9mm clip or two. I can empathize with Duke on shooting anything that hurts. I'm in it for the fun, too.

Last year Duke had an article on big man's carry options. Although I'm not up to Duke's standards, I'm also a little larger than when I was 20. OK, a lot larger, but I've been looking at CCW methods and don't have the cash to try everything out there. Duke really helped narrow it down.

The honesty and down home conversation style of his writing are what I'm looking for and the major reason I read Duke's articles first when I get FMG mags.
