It's the hip clip

Guns Magazine, July, 2004 by Dan Mayer

As a subscriber to your great magazine and 625 shooter, I read with great interest your Quartermaster column about the new moon clips. I contacted Scott Beckham, of Beckham Product Design (866-726-2658), and after talking with him a short time placed an order for 15 RIMZ clips. The price was reasonable and the shipping fast.

With new clips in hand I grabbed my S&W 625-6 and headed out to my backyard pistol range. After use, here's my report:

Loading: Unbelievably easy, quick and no tool required.

Chambering: All clips loaded smoothly and seated easily.

Shooting: No problem with firing or cylinder rotation.

Ejection: All clips ejected smoothly and easily.

Drop Test: I don't normally drop loaded clips just to see what will happen but I was curious as to how durable these polymer clips would be. Dropping five loaded clips from waist high, only once did a single round come loose.

This wasn't an exhaustive field test, but I do think it's a good indication of a good product. Personally, I'll be using these clips until they quit. At this point, I would recommend any shooter who has a 625 try these clips.
