From The American Historical Foundation
George Orwell once wrote "People sleep peaceably in their beds at night only because rough men stand ready to do violence on their behalf." In the Old West, the rough men who upheld the peace were often US Marshals. To honor their memory and the distinguished weapon those stalwart lawmen carried, The American Historical Foundation presents a limited edition of 125 Colt Single Action "Peacemakers." This is the real thing, a genuine Colt SAA made by Sam Colt's company which has been hand engraved, plated with 24-karat Gold and highly polished nickel. Nitre ("Peacock") Blue screw-heads, and genuine Colt Walnut grips provide the finishing touches on this elegant showpiece. For the advanced Colt collector, a "One of 25" museum edition is also available. This extra limited edition features ivory grips and two additional inlays of solid 24-karat gold as well as more extensive hand-engraving.
