End of an era

Guns Magazine, Sept, 2005

Florida's popular Palm Beach Trap & Skeet Club, which dates to 1911, closed over the weekend. The Palm Beach Post reports the club's 100 acres were sold to a developer planning to build 202 single-family homes on the site. The site was the 94-year-old club's fifth Palm Beach County location. Joe Fordham, who opened the club in 1990 on the leased land, said he hopes to find a new location in the future.

Members of the club come from as far south as Miami and as far north as Stuart, Fordham says.--Courtesy NSSF
