The CMD Titan 7040, 7240, and 7400 RAID controllers represent the company's third generation of commitment to delivering the latest in I/O interface technology to high-availability markets. The 7040 is a four-channel, Ultra 160 SCSI-to-SCSI RAID with support for up to 28 disk drives, or two terabytes. The 7240 is a six channel, Fibre Channel-to-Ultra16O RAID controller for shared storage environments like Storage Area Networks. With four Ultral 160 SCSI disk channels and support for up to 56 disk drives, the 7240 provides expandable storage capabilities, that take advantage of the variety of SCSI disk drives and enclosures on the market today. The 7400 is a four-channel, all Fibre Channel RAID that supports up to 248 disk drives for over 18 terabytes of storage space. All three new products feature active/active controller capability with CMD's rock-solid failover model. Advanced features like online firmware updates. are complemented by CMD's RAID Management Software (RMS), graphical user interface for loca l or remote con figuration, and event notification. They are backed by the Titan Interoperability Program to ensure a smoother integration.

For systems integrators, the CRD-7040, CRD-7240, and CRD-7400 come packaged with one or two hot-swappable controllers in an industry standard full-height, 5.25-inch canister. For OEMs, the ORD-7040, ORD-7240, and ORD-7400 are board-level products complete with design specifications. All three controllers have begun unrestricted customer shipments.
