Industry: Email Alert RSS FeedECCS' Synchronix Available With Cheetah Drives - Product Announcement
Computer Technology Review, July, 2000
ECCS' Synchronix family of storage products is now available with Seagate Cheetah 73GB hard drives, making the storage product a fault tolerant storage system. The Cheetah drives are available on its direct-attached, network-attached, and Storage Area Network systems.
"By designing DAS, NAS, and SAN systems with architecture for the platform environment, we offer RAID products that excel in performance and value," said Gene Shippey, vice president of western sales at ECCS. "We now provide up to 19.71TB of data storage in three cabinets of space. In addition to storage density, we lead the industry in cost reduction and product flexibility."

According to Shippey, "We will continue to strengthen our commitment to standards, product upgrades, and solutions. Companies today, especially e-companies, are beginning to realize that they don't have to be pigeonholed into solutions to get the protection that they need."
He continued, "The question that e-companies are coming to grips with is 'are we ever going to be profitable?' ECCS can help reduce their expenses by providing the storage solutions they need while not breaking the bank."
"Many storage users understand that we offer features and performance, thereby delivering value and Return On Investment (ROI)," said Michael Clark, vice president of eastern sales at ECCS. "The ECCS fault tolerant storage product line can be upgraded from a Direct Attached Storage to a Network Attached Storage or a Storage Area Network using equipment as part of the upgrade, thereby protecting that investment, another ECCS exclusive."
