Black Powder CCW - Speak Out

American Handgunner,  Jan-Feb, 2004  by Jeff Kohn

I too have a Taurus Model 450 and I found Smith's article (Black Powder Boomer, Sept/Oct 2003) entertaining. I'm a big fan of the .45 Colt and a handloader too. I also have a concealed weapon permit, so I bought the Taurus as a concealed carry gun. I normally carry the Taurus with the 200gr. Cor-Bon load, and shoot cowboy action reloads when I practice. I've made some black powder loads for my single action revolvers, but it never occurred to me to try them in the Taurus! The next time I take it to the range, I'm going to "just do it" and blast some! Thanks for the entertaining article on neat and unusual gun.
