A Weekend To Kill - Brief Article
American Handgunner, Jan, 2000 by J. D. Jones
One answer for the guy with no time for a proper hunting trip is a weekend hunt at a game ranch. Simply fly or drive out Friday afternoon, hunt Saturday and Sunday morning, get back home and be on the job Monday morning.
This is a viable way for an enjoyable weekend, but the anti-hunting faction has been trying to get legislation passed to close game ranches for years. In one state it has come to pass. Watch out for it in your state. It's not just a few people being put out of business; it's another attack on your personal freedoms.
Certainly not all shooters are hunters and, strangely, many seem to be anti-hunting. However, the old saying that "united we stand and divided we fall" is more factual today than ever. Shooters, hunters, pro-gun people of all types cannot afford to break ranks just because we aren't into the other guy's thing.
