Handloading For Hunters

American Handgunner, Sept, 2001 by J. D. Jones

Handloaders a quarter century ago actually went out and shot what they developed. They experimented with their handloads to find the best recipe. Now it seems the modern method is to simply use a computer to generate loading data and velocities and a word processor to generate the accuracy figures.

The question used to be, "How much powder does the .375 JDJ hold?" Now it's. "how much water does it hold?"

Am I old fashioned? Hell yes. I still load 'em with powder and bullets.
