The two best lines I heard at the SHOT show

American Handgunner, July-August, 2004 by Clint Smith

While standing at the Colt booth, Shooting Times Classic Arms editor Mike Venturino asked about a .32-20 Colt Single Action Army revolver. The boob at the counter blows him off with a: "We've never heard of you ... who are you?" Let's see, if Colt had a dollar for every time Mike Venturino wrote the word "Colt" in the last 25 years, who knows where they'd be today! A famous line applies here. "Is that stupid, or what?"

The other was a great observation. While discussing economics and guns and government with former Rep. Robert "Bob" Barr, editor Huntington, asked the question, "What could the regular-guy gun owner do to help the country and the economy?" Barr said: "It would send an important message if all gun owners simply went out and bought a gun." He noted how the immediate spike in business would cause people to take notice. It would help our industry and send some serious messages. Cool--a reason to buy a gun,
