No charge S&W

American Handgunner,  March-April, 2005  by Fred J. Brightman

Just had to tell you about this one. While striping my Smith 649 for a detailed cleaning, the bolt plunger spring (really tiny) took off into that dark hole where all the errant 1911 springs go, and could not be found. I called to buy one from Smith & Wesson expecting the usual BS. They are sending me two at no charge. NO CHARGE! Words not usually associated with Smith & Wesson. Looks like they're back in the gun business!
