Killing machine

American Handgunner, July-August, 2008 by James Kincaid

I found myself chuckling reading Mike's article on his fun with airsoft guns (Shooting Iron, Jan/Feb 2008). I too thought at the age of 56 I had grown out of playing with toys till one day I was working in my shop and a pesky horsefly was bugging me. I remembered the airsoft gun my kids had in their room. I soon had it loaded and ready for that varmint's return. When it did I was amazed at the guns accuracy, and the pest was dispatched in short order. I felt like a kid again as I found myself ordering an MP5 off the Internet. When it arrived I attached a cheap laser to the gun and sighted it in. I could hardly wait until the next time my wife called me to dispatch a spider. When the day came I will never forget the look on her face when I eagerly appeared with my new toy, illuminated the pest with the red dot and with a short full auto burst--the spider was gone! Now, no bug is safe around my house.
