Stupid

American Handgunner, July-August, 2008 by Clint Smith

In reality, the street application of the second or third gun is a good one. I recommend the concept to all my students. I also tell them to practice shooting with one hand, and with both strong and opposite hands to assure they have a basic level of skill doing such things. This will help to manage access to a handgun because of injury, fighting from the ground or if physical contact with the threat interrupts drawing your primary handgun. Or, if your No. 1 gun runs dry, you can quickly draw with either hand and go to work with your back-up.

What would I do? Carry a second or third gun, and plan on looking at the sights as best as I can--and then shooting kinda like I have always trained to do. So the second or third" gun for me simply addresses the issue of: "I know I'm going to die someday, but it won't be for lack of shooting back," Carry enough guns and shoot back--one gun at a time.
