Blade-tech

American Handgunner, Sept-Oct, 2008 by Sammy Reese

Over the years, I've bought more Blade-Tech products than I can count. I have a ten-year-old mag pouch and holster still in service--a tribute to the quality built into every Blade-Tech product. In an ever-changing gun market, Blade-Tech is always right in step with new models, accessories and innovations.

For carrying a large handgun all day on the range, the Sting Ray has no equal in comfort, function and durability. The Sting Ray's belt slots and belt adjustment allows you to customize the rig for your pelt width. The spread and design of the Sting Ray belt slots spreads the weight of the gun over a wider area making it much more comfortable. The tension adjustment screw allows adjusting the tension to the level you prefer. After thousands of presentations and re-holstering, my test holster showed no appreciable signs of wear. More importantly I had no signs of wear on my body.

The double magazine pouch tested was equipped with the adjustable Tek-Lok allowing for customizing the pouch for a particular belt. The mag pouch also has a tension screw allowing you to adjust the retention. The Tek-Lok was easy to adjust and bank vault secure.

No matter what position I tried, to include running the dreaded scrambler at a recent Gunsite event, the holster and pouches never shifted and kept all my gear attached to me--like its supposed to. Blade-Tech is quality from the get-go.
