And you thought Benchmade only made knives. Benchmade known world-wide for making high quality knives. And now you can add pens to the list. This isn't some ordinary pen--this one is milled from machine grade 6061 T-6 aluminum with a .0005" NASA tolerance. Do you need a pen made to such a high tolerance? Not really, but it gives you some bragging rights over your fancy fountain pen-carrying friends. It feels, well, "right" in the hand, writes well, and does all the jobs of a regular pen. You can hand it to someone and they'll never realize there s more to the package. But that's the cool part.

The pen refill is made by Fisher Space Pen Co. for Bench-made and can be had in blue or black ink. The two samples were smooth, and even worked upside down.

If you should find yourself arguing with Mr. Murphy--at slide lock and all your extra ammo is at home and your knife just fell down the drain, you can transition to your Benchmade 1100 Series Pen for some close-in work. Sometimes it's the little things that matter, and this could easily be one of those little things. And best of all, it's still "just a pen" if anyone asks. Suggested Retail is about $120.
