Tichbourne Knives
After Paul Wellman's 1951 book on Jim Bowie was published, Warner Brothers brought the novel to the silver screen starring Alan Ladd. John Beckman, the Art Director on the 1952 film produced a unique knife design while prop maker Arthur Rhoades actually constructed the blade used in the film. Now George Tichbourne presents his version of this widely admired Bowie knife. Made with a 10~" 440C steel blade, a desert ironwood handle, and scalloped brass trim, this Iron Mistress is a handful of rare beauty and wicked design. At 14" overall, this eye catcher really is, as claimed in the movie," A little bit of heaven and a little bit of hell."
