Internet Strategies for Education Markets: The Heller Report, Jan, 2000

Thirteen/WNET New York (see ISEM, Nov., 1999) and Disney Learning Partnership have jointly launched Concept to Classroom, a series of free, web-based workshops for teachers. Workshops feature such topics as Tapping into Multiple Intelligences; Teaching to Academic Standards; Cooperative and Collaborative Learning; and Why the Net? An Interactive Tool for the Classroom.

Workshops include tutorials, featured experts, online discussion areas and live chat sessions. There is, for example, a live chat session with Howard Gardner. Thirteen/WNET produces the classes. Disney Learning Partnership funds the program. It is a philanthropic initiative designed to foster creative, innovative teaching strategies and practices.
