Tapered-blade backbiter

Ear, Nose & Throat Journal, Oct, 2005

The retrograde approach to the uncinate process for endoscopic sinus surgery demands a small, yet sturdy, backbiter with a tapered blade. Instrumentarium's newly designed backbiter meets these requirements and enables surgeons to identify the maxillary sinus ostium with certainty. It can also be helpful in intraturbinate sinus (concha bullosa) surgery.
