Secure Computing Ports Safeword To Palm Pilot

Computergram International, Dec 15, 1998

Secure Computing Corp's SafeWord strong authentication is now available for users of Palm Computing Inc platform devices. Users of Palm Pilots and other devices running on the same platform should now be able to authenticate to their network with SafeWord's dynamically generated passwords. It might be difficult to imagine how logging into your enterprise database through a PDA could make your job easier, but the companies are betting that new types of applications will be developed for which laptop computers are not the ideal solution.

They suggest that field technical support staff and salespeople who need to check inventory control may be the first to adopt the SafeWord for Palm Computing software.
