Computergram International, April 13, 1999

In exchange for an estimated $200m worth of content and branding, CBS Corp has acquired a 35% stake in Hollywood.com and a 50% stake in storeRunner.com. Hollywood.com provides movie and entertainment information, while storeRunner.com offers selected products for sale from other retail web sites.

CBS already counts 38% of MarketWatch.Com Inc and 12.5% of SportsLine USA Inc among its web content holdings. Together those stakes are reckoned to be worth about $500m. The new deals closely resemble the old.
