Two Polish software companies, ComArch SA and Computer Services Support SA, are having initial public offerings over the next three days on the Warsaw Stock Exchange. Stephen Pettyfer, an analyst with Merrill Lynch, says that the Polish IT market is in a period of substantial growth, backed by firms' capability to retain their employees.

ComArch, the largest provider of telecommunications software in Poland, also makes software for financial institutions and has a partnership with Oracle to distribute its products in Poland which Pavel Sikora, from brokerage house BRE, says is the largest deal of its kind Oracle has in Poland. Sikora says that floating 25% of ComArch is will fund new headquarters in Krakow as well as an expansion to Warsaw and Poznan.
