Industry: Email Alert RSS FeedLycos May Sell 35% Stake To Ge's Nbc

Word has it that the number three search engine and portal company, Lycos Inc, is poised to sell a 35% stake to the NBC network, owned by the General Electric Company. Weekly magazine The Industry Standard cites unnamed sources as saying that if the deal goes ahead, the Snap web directory will be integrated with Lycos. NBC took an equity stake in Snap last June (CI No 3,428).
