Infogrames Says Q3 Revenue Up 30%, 1st Nine Months Up 35%

French games software developer Infogrames Entertainment SA has reported revenue for its third quarter, ended March 31, 1999, up 29.8%, at FFr362m ($59.24), while the figure for the first nine months of its fiscal year rose 34.5% to FFr1.46bn ($240m).

In publishing its revenue figures, the company also recalled the highlights of the period January-March 1999, which included an agreement to develop a games-based channel called Canal Multimedia, in association with the leading French pay TV operator.

Other events included the acquisition of UK gamester Gremlin, integration into Infogrames of the development teams of a smaller French company, Psygnosis, and Beam International Ltd in Australia (CI No 3,632).
