Inktomi Files for $41m Offering

Inktomi Corp has filed a registration statement with the Securities and Exchange Commission for a proposed offering of 3.3 million shares of common stock. Of these shares, Inktomi will offer 2.015 million with selling stockholders making up the balance. Managing underwriters are Goldman Sachs & Co, Morgan Stanley Dean Witter, Deutsche Bank Alex Brown, Hambrecht & Quist and Merrill Lynch & Co.

San Mateo, California-based Inktomi develops and sells search, directory and shopping engines and the Traffic Server network cache.
