Chip Designers to Reveal Products at Microprocessor Forum

Computergram International, August 10, 1999

Two secretive chip designers will show the fruits of their labors at the Microprocessor Forum in October. Fremont, California-based Cradle Technologies Inc promises to "rid the world of the anarchy of ASIC design and replace it with a bold new, adventurous approach to complex systems on silicon development" However, the company wasn't available to comment on what this wondrous new way might be.

Meanwhile, ArtX Inc, the company behind the graphics chip for Nintendo Electronic Ltd's new "Dolphin" console plans to unveil its first PC chip. The company says that its approach to 3D graphics accelerators gives a much more film-like look to games and applications than current designs.
