Intergraph Offers New Servers For Business Users

Computergram International, Jan 16, 1998

Intergraph Corp's Computer Systems hardware subsidiary is pushing along into the general purpose business market offering three new Windows NT servers including a low-end and two high-end multiprocessing systems. The $4,700 InterServer 80 supports one or two 233MHz or 300MHz Pentium II chips, 11 PCI slots, 72Gb disk and can server applications to 25 PCs.

The four-way 200MHz Pentium Pro InterServer 8000 is priced from $10,400 while the $20,000 8400 adds high-availability features. Intergraph split its computer hardware business out and turned it into a wholly owned subsidiary last year to help it grow more easily, and is now getting down and getting dirty with the rest of the cut- throat build-to-order PC companies. As well as InterServer servers the unit offer TDZ 3D Graphics and StudioZ Video workstations and TD PCs.
